QUESTION POSED ON: 12 September 2006
How can an antivirus program help stop phishing attacks?

>
EXPERT RESPONSE
Certain signatures and content can be present in phishing emails that antimalware products can detect and stop. This is especially true for email firewall systems, which are the best way to go about protecting your environment. Third-party tools such as IronMail from CipherTrust, Marshal Software's MailMarshal, and Singlefin's managed service can all help with this and is what I recommend.
