Embassy Remote Administration Server 1.0 offers remote management for TPM platform and Seagate Trusted drives.
Embassy Remote Administration Server enables remote management of Trusted Platform Module security chips and Seagate Technology's Full Disk Encrypting Hard Drives.
In 2007, Seagate released its 120 GB full disk encryption (FDE) hard disk drive, now available on Dell's Latitude 620, 630 and 830 models. Once the drive is encrypted, there is by design no way to retrieve the information that has been stored on it without the key. Security is based on the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES).
Wave's Embassy Remote Administration Server adds significant value to Seagate's drive by design for easy remote management, initialization and administration and user management. It also helps with compliance -- audit logs can prove that a missing drive's data was encrypted, a feature that allows firms to fall within the safe harbor provisions of most data protection regulations, exempting them from disclosure to customers if encryption can be proven.
Embassy Remote Administration Server is a critical tool for remote management of Trusted Platform Modules. The TPM hardware chip is a powerful security device capable of storing user credentials and cryptographic keys. By remotely enabling, enrolling and establishing ownership, an IT administrator can effectively delegate owner rights to specific users and manage and reset passwords.
Key functions include:
Integration with Active Directory
Centralized security policy control and auditing for risk assessment and regulatory compliance purposes
MMC, scripting or command line operations
TPM remote management including TPM enrollment, ownership and enablement and TPM user management; password management and reset; delegation of owner rights to users; detailed TPM system information
Trusted Drive remote management including initialization and administration; password management, control and recovery; user management
Pre-boot authentication setup
Re-commissioning and de-commissioning of drives
